xSDR Crowdfunding Opens, Microcontroller TV Transmitter, ESCAPADE Telemetry Decoded, and More 06-29Myriadrf's weekly OTA column rounds up several SDR stories: Wavelet Lab has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the xSDR, an M.2 SDR module built around the Lime LMS7002M with 2×2 MIMO, a 30 MHz–3.8 GHz tuning range, and 122.88 MSPS sampling, priced at $549; maker Kris Slyka built an analog TV RF modulator from a single STM32G431 microcontroller and a handful of op-amps; Daniel Estévez revisited ESCAPADE Mars mission telemetry recordings with GNU Radio, identifying log messages on APID 520, quaternion data on APIDs 6084/6423, and more.

Cascade-SDR: A Web-Based Multimode Receiver App for RTL-SDR Dongles 06-29Cascade-SDR is a web-based multimode SDR receiver: a Python backend owns the RTL-SDR dongle and handles all DSP, while a browser-based frontend renders the UI, waterfall, audio, and maps. The two communicate over a WebSocket, so the backend can run on a Raspberry Pi or mini PC and be accessed from any browser on the network.

CaribouLite RPi HAT: A Dual-Channel Open-Source SDR HAT for Raspberry Pi, Tunable Up to 6 GHz 06-29The CaribouLite RPi HAT is a fully open-source, dual-channel SDR Raspberry Pi HAT. Its wideband channel covers 30 MHz to 6 GHz and its sub-1-GHz channel covers frequencies below 1 GHz, with 4 MSPS I/Q samples streamed over the Raspberry Pi's SMI. It integrates an ice40lp1k FPGA, a TCXO, and a low-noise amplifier (NF < 4 dB below 3 GHz), and works with SoapySDR, GNU Radio, GQRX, CubicSDR, SDR++, and more. The campaign has raised $316,279 — 282% funded — and ships in a full version plus an ISM version tuned for the 2.4 GHz and sub-1-GHz bands.

A New SDR# Panadapter Plugin Turns SDR# into a Panadapter for Your Transceiver 06-24Thanks to Marco Argilli (IU4HMY) for submitting a new SDR# Panadapter plugin. It turns SDR# into a panadapter for your transceiver, giving you a live spectrum and waterfall view of the band around your tuned frequency. The plugin is free for personal and non-commercial use and requires SDR# version 1921 or newer plus the .NET 9 framework.
